Who can become a BYOU expert?+
Therapists, psychologists, coaches, mindfulness teachers, breathwork facilitators, nutrition experts, yoga teachers, beauty professionals and holistic practitioners. We welcome verified professionals with relevant credentials and experience.
What does it cost to join BYOU?+
Nothing. Joining BYOU is 100% no cure, no pay. No joining fee, no monthly subscription. You only pay commission when you actually get booked.
Is there really no upfront cost?+
Correct. There is zero upfront cost. No joining fee, no setup fee, no subscription. You only pay when you earn.
How does the commission work?+
Two clear rates. 21% commission when BYOU brings you a client through the platform. Only 5% commission when a client books through your own referral link. It is a true no cure, no pay model: everyone wins.
Why only 5% on my own referrals?+
Because you did the work of bringing that client. We reward experts who grow their own audience by keeping our share to a minimum.
Do I need to pay monthly?+
No. There are no monthly fees of any kind. Commission is only charged when a client books and pays for a session with you.
Can I offer online and in-person sessions?+
Yes. You choose how and where you want to work. You can offer online sessions, in-person sessions, or both.
What kinds of services can I list?+
You can list therapy sessions, coaching sessions, mindfulness and meditation, breathwork, nutrition guidance, fitness training, beauty services and holistic wellness offerings.
Does BYOU help me get clients?+
Yes. Your profile is visible to all BYOU users. The app helps clients discover experts by category, specialty and location. You also get access to growth tools and visibility support.
What are the upsells for experts?+
BYOU offers optional growth programs including business mentoring, scaling masterclasses, social media training, profile optimization and client retention training. These are entirely optional.
Do I have to buy mentoring or masterclasses?+
No. All growth tools are completely optional. They are available if you want to invest in scaling your practice, but they are not required.
How long does onboarding take?+
Once your application is approved, you can set up your profile and start receiving bookings within a few days.
Can I grow my business through BYOU?+
Yes. BYOU is designed to help professionals not just get booked, but also grow their practice with mentoring, education and visibility tools.
